How do I preview screenshots in App Store and Google Play listings?
Use Preview & Export to check how your screenshots may appear in App Store and Google Play listing previews before you download or upload them.
This helps you review your first screenshots, captions, spacing, crops and store-specific differences before final export.
Open Preview & Export
To preview your screenshots:
Open your project in the AppScreens designer.
Click Preview & Export in the top-right corner.
Open the Preview section.
Choose the store, device size, language or output you want to preview.
You can preview your screenshots before downloading a zip or uploading to the app stores.
Preview App Store and Google Play layouts
AppScreens can show store-style previews so you can check how your screenshots look in context.
Use these previews to compare how your screenshots appear for:
Apple App Store
Google Play
different output sizes
different languages
different screenshot orders
Apple and Google can display screenshots differently, so it is worth checking both if your project includes both stores.
What should I check in the preview?
Before exporting, check:
whether the first screenshots are the strongest
whether captions are readable
whether important text or UI is cropped
whether devices, shapes or images are positioned correctly
whether connected screenshots still look good with store spacing
whether the screenshots look right in each language
whether Apple and Google previews need different adjustments
whether the layout still works across phone and tablet outputs
The first few screenshots are especially important because they are often the first thing people see in the store listing.
Check spacing between screenshots
Store previews can show spacing between screenshots.
This spacing is controlled by the app stores and can vary between Apple, Google, web, mobile, search results and listing pages.
If you are using connected designs, panoramic backgrounds or Continue on Screen, use the listing preview to check whether the screenshots still feel connected.
If needed, return to the designer and adjust the element positions with drag-and-drop or Exact Dimensions.
Preview different languages and output sizes
If your project uses multiple languages or output sizes, check more than one preview.
For example, a title that looks good in English may be longer in another language. A layout that works on iPhone may need adjustment for iPad or Android Tablet.
Use the preview controls to switch between outputs and review your screenshots before exporting.
Make changes after previewing
If something does not look right:
Close or cancel the preview.
Return to the designer.
Click the screenshot you want to adjust.
Edit the text, layout, background, device, image or shape.
Use drag-and-drop or Exact Dimensions if you need to adjust positioning.
Open Preview & Export again to check the result.
Repeat this until the store preview looks ready.
Run Screenshot Review
You can also use Screenshot Review from Preview & Export to run an AppScreens review on your current store-preview screenshots before export.
This can help you check the screenshot set before downloading or uploading.
Export or upload when ready
Once your previews look good, you can continue in Preview & Export to:
download a zip
upload to app stores
review export history
check warnings before export
