How to localise your screenshot captions

Setup your languages

Input your expert language translations or have automated translations (powered by AI or Google) for your screenshots in 72 languages.

  1. Go into your project
  2. Click on project setup
  3. Click on the Languages section
  4. You'll need to set your default language, this is the base language for all of your translations
  5.  Select all languages you'd like to localise your app and project to.

We currently support: Afrikaans, Arabic, Armenian, Albanian, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Basque, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Filipino, English US, English Australia, English British, English Canadian, Estonian, Finnish, French, French Canadian, Galician, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Kazakh, Khmer, Korean, Kyrgyz, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Malayalam, Marathi, Mongolian, Nepali, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese Brazil, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Sinhala, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, Zulu.

Note: Localisation is only available on pro plans
Warning: Automatic translations will be translated using AI or Google Translate and may not be accurate, we recommend engaging qualified translators to ensure translations are as accurate as possible.

Localise your captions

  1. Open your project in the designer.
  2. Ensure you have setup your languages as above
  3. Click on the Translate button
  4. For each screenshot, you can now chose to have automatic translation or manually add the translations yourself. To turn off automatic translation, click on the purple toggle as shown below.
  5. If you update any text in your default language, hit Update Translations in the top right to update your other languages.
  6. When automatic translation is turned on you'll be unable to edit the caption as it will be locked.
  7. To edit a manual translation, ensure the automatic translation is switched to off and type in the text boxes to update your caption.
  8. Once finished, hit save in the bottom right corner.

    Translate

  9. To view your project in each language, from the action bar, click on the language dropdown.
  10. Note that any changes you make in the designer when viewing other languages, will pull across to the design in all other languages in your project as well.
