How do I replace screenshots in a game template?
Replace images in a game template
Game templates work a little differently from standard templates in AppScreens.
Instead of using direct app screenshots inside device frames, many game templates are built using image elements. This makes it easier to use promotional artwork, gameplay graphics, character art, or store-specific creative.
How to replace the main image in a game template
Open your game template in the designer.
Click on the screen you want to edit.
Click on the main screenshot image on that screen.
This opens the editor panel and the Image element settings.
Check which layer the image is on, for example:
layer 1 (bottom)
layer 2 (top)
Click Select images.
Replace the image using one of the available upload options.
Repeat this for each screen you want to update.
Click Save when you are finished.
How to upload replacement images
After clicking Select images, you can replace the image in a few different ways:
drag and drop an image from your file manager onto the correct target box
click a target box to browse your device and upload an image
select an image that is already stored in your AppScreens uploads
Global or device-specific images
You can choose how broadly the image should apply.
Global image
Attach the image as Global if you want to use the same game image across all stores, devices, and output sizes.
Store or device-specific image
You can also upload different images for:
specific stores
specific devices and output sizes
This is useful if you want different creative for Apple and Google, or different artwork for phone and tablet layouts.
Important
Game templates often use layered image elements, so make sure you are replacing the correct image on the correct layer before saving.
If a screen contains more than one image element, click each image to confirm which layer it belongs to.
