How to restyle your project

Restyle your project

Want to quickly try a new look for your app screenshots? With Restyle, you can transform your entire project into a new design, theme, and layout in just a few clicks.

This is perfect for:

  • testing new creative directions

  • running A/B tests

  • exploring styles when you are not sure what best suits your app

How to restyle your project

  1. Open your project in AppScreens.

  2. In the top toolbar, click Restyle (the sparkling stars icon).

  3. Choose from 100+ templates to apply a new style to your project.

AppScreens will generate an AI preview of your project using the selected template. The preview shows your captions and screenshots in the new layout and design so you can quickly see how your project will look.

What you can edit in the AI preview

Once the preview is generated, you can fine tune the result before saving it.

In the AI preview, you can:

  • update your captions with AI

  • quickly replace default colours

  • apply your global shadow settings

  • apply your global font settings

  • save the restyled project to your account

Not happy with the result? You can:

  • click Shuffle Template to instantly try another option

  • click Select Template to choose a different template yourself

Can I change my template after I already selected one?

Yes. You can change your template at any time by using Restyle again.

Just open your project, click Restyle, and choose a different template. You can preview the new style before saving, so it is easy to explore different creative directions without committing straight away.

Can I manually customize the design myself?

Yes. Templates are only a starting point.

If you want more control, you can manually customize your project layout yourself. This is useful if you want to fine tune the positioning of elements or create a more custom design beyond the template.

You can manually adjust things like:

  • the positioning of all elements

  • spacing and layout placement

  • the arrangement of layers and screen content

To do this, use the move tools next to the title element, or open the Layout tab on a screen and click Edit layout for more detailed control.

This means AppScreens gives you both:

  • a fast way to explore new styles with templates

  • the flexibility to fully customize the layout yourself when needed

Use AI to improve your titles and subtitles

If your project is linked to an app, AppScreens can generate smarter caption suggestions based on your app.

This works if:

  • you linked your project to an app in Setup → About

  • you manage your apps from Account → Apps

  • you created the project using AI Screenshot Creator

When AppScreens knows about your app, you can click AI Titles & Subtitles in the text box edit panel (the sparkling stars AI icon) to get fresh caption ideas.

Caption styles you can try

You can generate captions in:

  • Short form

  • Long form

You can also choose from a range of writing styles, including:

Each style has a different tone and intent, so you can experiment to find the approach that best fits your app and audience.
