Remove an element from your screen

You can remove any element from a screen in AppScreens, including a title, image, or device.

There are two ways to do it depending on how much control you need.

Quickest way to remove an element

If you want to quickly remove a single element:

1. Click on the element you want to remove, this will open the screens edit options

2. Find the element you want to remove, such as Title, Image, or Device.

3. Click the Move icon next to that element.

4. Click Remove.

This is the fastest way to delete a single element from a screen.

Remove an element within the Layout Designer

If you want to view the full structure of the screen and adjust all elements and layers:

1. Hover on the screen you want to edit

2. Click on the circular purple edit icon in the top right corner of that screen

3. Go to the Layout tab for that screen.

4. Click Edit layout.

5. This opens the Layout Designer, where you can view and adjust all elements and layers on that screen.

6. Click the element you want to remove.

7. Click the bin icon to delete it.

This is the best option if you want more control over the full layout, or if you want to edit multiple elements at once.

When to use each option

Use the Move option when you want the quickest way to remove one element.

Use Edit layout when you want to:

• see the full layout of the screen

• adjust multiple elements and layers

• fine tune the overall design before saving

The Layout Designer gives you a full view of how your screen is built, so it is useful not only for removing elements, but also for repositioning and adjusting layers across the whole design.
