How do I change the size of my text title and subtitle?
AppScreens automatically scales your title and subtitle across the device sizes and languages in your project, so your text can adapt for every export size you have selected. The exact size of your text depends on both your text settings and the space available in the title element.
There are two main places to check when adjusting title and subtitle size:
1. Title & Subtitle Options
Open the Title element to adjust the text settings for that screen.
Include Subtitle: Select Yes if you want to include a subtitle inside the same title element.
Floating Position: Choose whether your text sits at the top, middle, or bottom of the title element box.
Title Ratio (title v subtitle): This controls how much of the available space is given to the title versus the subtitle. For example, if the Title Ratio is set to 70%, the title uses 70% of the available space and the subtitle uses 30%. Font size is then calculated automatically based on the space available inside the title element.
Title to Subtitle Padding: Controls the spacing between the title and subtitle.
Match Size: This setting controls how text sizing behaves across your project.
No - Manual Control - Use this when you do not want the title or subtitle to match the size of other titles in your project, and instead want to control its maximum size yourself. This is useful if, for example, you want the first screen to have a larger heading than the rest, as shown on the screenshot below.
This is set by using Max Font Size - the maximum font size you want this specific title element to be across your project and different device sizes (you'll need to check this works across the varying device sizes within your project).
Important: Max Font Size is only a maximum. Your text may still appear smaller because it is restricted to the title element space (red dash outline). If that happens, you will need to increase the size of the title element in the layout (see below how).Match to smallest Title size - AppScreens automatically sizes your text to fit the available space and keep it visually consistent across screenshots and languages. We recommend this setting in most cases.
Character Spacing: Adds extra spacing between characters.
Line Height: Controls the vertical spacing of each line of text within the available space.
Multiline: Choose how long text behaves inside the title element.
Wrap - Moves text onto a new line when it reaches the maximum available width.
Single line - Keeps all text on one line. If the text is too long to fit, AppScreens will reduce the font size so it stays within the available space.

2. Check the size of the title element itself
Text size is also affected by the size of the title element box. If the box is too small, your title or subtitle will scale down to fit.
To see and adjust this, open the Layout Designer:
Hover over the screen you want to edit
Click the circular purple edit icon in the top right corner of that screen
Open the Layout tab
Click Edit layout
The Layout Designer lets you adjust the position and size of your elements, including the title element.
You can also quickly edit the title element directly from the screen by clicking the Move icon on the text element toolbar.
When you hover over the text element on your screenshot, the red dashed outline shows the space currently available to that title element.

Edit text element properties
Height %: Sets how much vertical space the title element takes up on the screen.
Width %: The width is how much the element will span across the whole width of the screenshot from edge to edge. Generally, we want elements to be positioned in the center of our screenshot and not touching the edges. We generally recommend a width of 80% for titles.
Left Inset %: Controls the horizontal position of the title element. 0% is the absolute left edge of the screenshot, 100% is the absolute right edge of the screenshot. For example, if your title element has a width of 80%, set the Left Inset to 10% so the element is centered with equal space on both sides.
